The deluxe edition and collector's edition of Copenhagen come with extra content for variability and advanced play that are not found in the retail edition.
The extra content includes Joker Tiles, Mission Tiles, and Ability Tiles.
Ability Tiles: Players are able to collect tiles during the game that give them special actions (see below for game play description). The retail version comes with 5 sets of tiles. We've included two more in the Collector's and Deluxe Editions, and there are stretch goals for even more. Each set of ability tiles comes with 4 tiles.
Mission Tiles: Missions give all players another way to earn points if they satisfy the condition of the mission for that game. We've included one in the base pledge, and there are stretch goals for more.
The collector's edition has cardboard tiles (similar to that in the retail edition), while the Deluxe edition features acrylic tiles but the game play content are the same.
Both the Collector's Edition and the Deluxe Box also come with a limited edition box sleeve.
