That's either a quote from the adventure's text about some cultists, or it's the author explaining his writing output. I don't know.

So this is a short-form adventure for Lamentations of the Flame Princess (and technically for other traditional fantasy role-playing games but good luck running this at a table ready for some normie dungeon fantasy), about a creature called the Mindfucker that's hiding out in 1666 plague-suffering London and gathering influence. The adventure throws plague doctors, conspiracy theorists, and yes, jizz rats at the players and invites them to ask that one question that all great adventures inspire: "Wait, what?" This subject matter is of course handled with as much tact and class as you would expect from the guy that wrote Asterion.

It is my sincere hope that a copy of this gets unearthed by scholars in 500 years and academics debate what this thing was for and what it says about our culture today. It'll be even more super if they think it represents a strain of real-life 21st thinking about 17th century London. Or maybe this is the author's real thoughts on the matter. I can't tell anymore.

Cerebria is a deep, objective-driven area control game for 1-4 players, where Bliss and Gloom, the two sides of the human personality, compete to influence the Inside World’s developing Identity.

Players play in teams, taking on the roles of Spirits of Bliss or Gloom. Using point-to-point movement and resource management, Spirits invoke and interact with Emotion cards to spread their influence, and control various areas and aspects of Cerebria.

The game is objective-driven - each team has their own hidden objective, as well as a contested common one. At certain points of the game, players may trigger Revelations: climatic scoring events when the objectives are evaluated.

As a result, the teams may contribute to the development of Cerebria’s Identity, built as a tower in the middle of the game board. The game typically lasts for six Revelations - in the end, the team with the most influence over Cerebria’s final Identity wins the game.

Cerebria - the Card Game is a quick, smart and accessible card game of set collection for 2-5 players, set in the same universe as Cerebria -The Board Game.

Cerebria - the Card Game was created as a quick and easy-to-learn alternative (or introduction) to the main game. Although it targets a more casual audience, it has the deep and involved gameplay and high replayability that one would expect from a Mindclash game.

The card game’s core mechanism is set collection - players build their Mindsets from a dynamically changing pool of Emotion cards. Each Emotion can host Bliss or Gloom Identity fragments that can either be spent to activate the Emotion’s ability to interact with other players’ cards, or scored during a Revelation. A player wins by scoring 8 Fragments of a single type, or 5 of both types throughout the game.

Forces of Balance, Cerebria’s zero-day expansion, extends the game to 5-6 players with a third side joining the struggle to shape Cerebria’s Identity.

The Balance side introduces two new Spirits, Reason and Intuition (each with their own abilities and Spirit boards), and various new Emotion cards. On top of extending the maximum player count, the Balance side also encourages a new playstyle: their purpose is to create ties in the scoring objectives between Bliss and Gloom, ensuring Cerebria’s equilibrium. This adds an exciting new meta aspect to the game: Balance may temporarily aid Bliss or Gloom, but on a whim, they can turn from ally into adversary.

The Forces of Balance expansion also introduces 10 highly detailed, 55 mm tall Spirit miniatures: two for Balance, and eight for the original Bliss and Gloom Spirits.
