The world of business is a world of tough situations. Tough situations demand tough decisions.
You, as a young and ambitious entrepreneur, will struggle for wealth. In order to gain wealth, you should first create an efficient economic engine. The dilemmas will be hard. Which companies will you acquire and activate first? Which company's ability is the most appropriate for the early yearʼs economic boost? Will you manage to create a flexible but also effective decision deck? Timing is crucial. Mind what your competitors are doing. They will try to block your plans. They will try to steal your resources. There is no room for error. There is no time for hesitation. Open your Briefcase, lay out your business plans and enjoy the game!
In Briefcase each player begins the game with his personal Decision Deck. The starting Decision Deck includes:
• 3 Buy cards with which a player can acquire companies and resources.
• 3 Activate cards which allow the player to begin his company’s production
• 6 Obstacle cards which represent the difficulties each player must work around to achieve his goal. As the game moves on and players acquire companies, Obstacle cards become more and more useful through several of the companies’ abilities.
Finally there is a fourth type of decision card which can be acquired through several companies. It is the Hire card which allows a player to temporarily use his opponents’ companies and get benefit from their production.
Resource Management
In order to activate a company, a player must provide resources. Those can be acquired from the Resource Market with the use of Buy cards. Those resources are Personnel, Concrete, Steel, Paper and Energy. Each resource may be exhausted quickly and player will then have to use Imported Resources which cost more.
