Black Angel
Black Angel

Humanity, through its irresponsible behavior, has exhausted the natural resources of Earth, making it almost uninhabitable. In a burst of lucidity, pressed by the irreversible degradation of your planet, the great nations are forced to put aside their differences and share their knowledge in order to create the most vast spacecraft ever constructed. Thus, the BLACK ANGEL project is launched.

The Black Angel, the first intergalactic frigate in history, must transport the genetic heritage of humanity beyond known worlds, over a journey that is likely to last several thousand years. Her crew will be composed of only robots. Because no nation is willing to trust creation of the AI (artificial intelligence) that will control this crew to any other nation, a compromise is found: The Black Angel will be co-managed by several AIs, and the utility of each decision will be evaluated in VP (Validation Process).

At the completion of this long and perilous voyage, when a new inhabitable planet has been reached, the AI that has earned the most VP will be entrusted with reawakening Humanity, and overseeing its new start...

All the reports are in agreement: The Black Angel is approaching Spes, a planet with the highest probability for habitability by the human species. Take advantage of our approach to maintain the good relations you have gradually woven with the benevolent Alien species populating the galaxy, and watch out for the dreaded Ravagers, who would do anything to prevent you from reaching Spes.

Bloody Inn
Bloody Inn

Säännöt valmistajan sivuilta.

France 1831: In a remote corner of Ardèche, the little village of Peyrebeille sees numerous travelers pass through. A family of greedy rural farmers is determined to make its fortune and has devised a diabolical stratagem to achieve this goal: Invest in an inn so they can rob traveling guests, allowing them to get rich without arousing the suspicions of the police! Whether or not their plan will work out, one thing is certain: Not every guest will leave this inn alive...

n The Bloody Inn, you are one of the competitive innkeepers, bent on amassing the most wealth. Unfortunately, your morals hinder you from robbing your guests... at least while they're alive. Fortunately, your scruples have no qualms with murder. Of course, you can't just have dead bodies piled everywhere: It's bad for business, and besides, what if the police drop by for a visit? It's all so much work! Perhaps you could employ some of the guests as accomplices? Everyone has a price, after all!

The road can be dangerous for weary travelers, but sometimes, the shelter you find is even worse. The year is 1831 in a tiny, remote village in France. Every day, dozens of people pass along the road through Peyrebeille, but for those unlucky enough to stay the night... their journey may be over forever.

The Bloody Inn, a unique and macabre board game for one to four players, asks players to imagine themselves as members of a greedy family who have invested in a roadside inn. Times are tough and the innkeepers been driven to robbery and even murder! While you’re playing the game, you’ll find accomplices, build new annexes to the inn, and look for ways to advance your criminal enterprise. Each tension-filled turn, the innkeepers must carefully devise a plan to pull off the perfect crime, but everyone’s battling over the same set of guests and the bodies must be hidden before the police arrive. At the end of two seasons, the player who has acquired the largest quantity of ill-gotten wealth wins the game.

Murderous Intentions
Each night in The Bloody Inn, you get the chance to execute your nefarious plans. The innkeepers have an unfortunate penchant for murder, so on your turn, you’ll decide whether to build more locations, bribe a guest to join your team, kill one of the guests of the hotel, or scramble to hide a body. Alternatively, you can launder some of the francs you’ve taken from the pockets of dead guests, which helps to increase your final score.

The innkeepers are limited to two actions per round, so each choice you make bears significant weight. Perhaps it’s time to build an annex where more bodies can be hidden, or maybe you just need more accomplices to help you with your scheme. Is tonight the right night to dispose of a former guest? You accomplish all of these tasks by discarding Guest cards from your hand. Many of these guests have skills that you can use to your advantage, so it’s up to you to construct a hand that can complete your awful scheme as efficiently as possible. With careful planning and a little luck, you can make a tidy profit from your terrible crimes.

After a guest is killed in the hotel, the player responsible needs to hide the body to avoid getting caught. Bodies can be placed in the annexes that you build—even though the innkeepers have turned to murder, they still have a certain amount of honor, and they won't steal money from a corpse until they’ve given it a proper burial. Of course, this means you need to bury the bodies if you want to make a profit.

As dawn breaks over the town of Peyrebeille, there is the potential for a sudden police investigation. Any innkeeper who fails to bury corpses will have to scramble to hide the evidence. If a player has unburied corpses, he or she must pay the village gravedigger a hefty sum for each body. You'll lose the money you might have earned from the guest, but at least you’ll avoid prison for another night.

The remaining guests in the inn who were lucky enough to survive the night then continue along their journey. If you have any guests still in your rooms by the time morning’s light appears, you receive one franc for lodging before these guests continue on their way. Finally, it's time to pay the accomplices you've recruited and added to your hand of cards. You’ll have to pay one franc for each character you have in your hand at the end of the round.

Soon, it’ll be another new evening in Peyrebeille. Guests begin to arrive and the whole terrifying cycle begins again. Once the innkeepers have gone through two seasons, the game ends and the richest player is the winner!

Making a Quick Profit
The Bloody Inn is unique in both mechanics and theme, matched by the gloomy and tongue-in-cheek art style. With quick, engaging rounds, straightforward rules for players of all skill levels, and an assortment of game variants and optional rules, The Bloody Inn offers a fast and fun experience for players with a dark sense of humor. Before you know it, you'll be deep into “the hotel business” with profit on your mind!

Troyes
Troyes

In the year 1200, the foundation is laid for the cathedral of Troyes, but it will not be fi nished until 400 years later, after innumerable incidents. This game invites you to experience four centuries of history by participating in the development of one of the fi nest medieval cities ever to make its mark on Western culture. The society of that day was organized into three orders: the nobility, the clergy, and the peasants. The nobility constituted the military force devoted to justice and to protecting the lands. The clergy were the spiritual guides of the community, contributing to maintaining and developing knowledge and culture. The peasants and artisans, in turn, were given very little consideration, although their hard work was essential to the daily life of the entire populace.

Troyes is a strategy game in which you represent a rich family from the Champagne region of France, using your influence to recruit and supervise individuals from the three prominent domains: military (associated with the color red in every aspect of the game), religious (white), and civil (yellow).

Each domain offers different benefi ts: The military permits you to fight with greater effi cacy against invasions. The clergy focuses on completion of the cathedral, and education of the peasants and the military. The peasants toil to fill your coffers. The citizens of the city provide a work force, represented by dice. You use the work force in different ways: to perform various activities supervised by your tradesmen, to build the cathedral, to grapple with unfortunate events, or even to recruit new citizens. Each of these actions requires utilization of one group of 1 to 3 dice. In your actions, always regard the goals of the famous character that inspires your family. This individual is one of several very influential people whose principles have helped make the city what it is today! In fact, if you can figure out whose principles the other families follow, you can maximize your own fame, because each family will be scrutinized by all of these famous figures. The player who has garnered the most fame, in the form of victory points, will win the game!
