Bison: Thunder on the Prairie
Bison: Thunder on the Prairie

Before the arrival of the white man, the area now known as Idaho was home to the Nez Perce. Living off nature's bounty, these brave hunters would follow the great herds of bison, gathering supplies to survive the brutal winters. When the salmon appeared in the mighty Snake, Salmon, and Columbia rivers, they were there, ready to catch the river's bounty.

In Bison, you become the leader of a band of brave hunters, setting forth to lay claim to the most plentiful hunting grounds. Your hunters will gather bison, salmon, and wildfowl each season. But competition for the best lands will be fierce! You will need to use your hunters to build canoes and tents, staking your claim in the best areas, before your rivals can!

But your supplies are limited. You will need to feed your hunters to give them the strength to fulfill the tasks you ask of them. And if you need a larger canoe, you will need to trade your hard-earned foodstuffs at the market.

The player who can most effectively marshal their hunters and manage their supplies will control the best hunting grounds and deliver the largest amount of food to the tribe for the coming winter. Can you prove yourself to be a great warrior and powerful spirit of your tribe?

Dutch Golden Age
Dutch Golden Age

Around 1600, a Golden Age started in the Northern provinces of the Low Countries. In 1602, the United East-Indian Company (VOC) was founded, the first ever company with shares. A maritime trade and transport network to the Far East was established, with fortified trade posts along the way.

The Low Countries developed steadily in many areas. The Seven Provinces were led to glory by Johan de Witt, an astute statesman who built an effective, modern navy led by superior admirals. Rich entrepreneurs were influential from many European ports to the Far East and the West Indies. William of Orange, murdered in 1584, lived on in the hearts of his people as the Father of the Fatherland. Meanwhile, success also loomed in other fields. In science, the philologist Lipsius, the naturalist Leeuwenhoek, the philosopher Spinoza and, last but not least, the father of the “law of nations”, Hugo Grotius all advanced their expertise considerably. In arts, the “Flemish School” with Rubens and Van Dyck and the “Dutch School” with Frans Hals, Jan Steen, Vermeer, and Rembrandt became famous.

In The Dutch Golden Age the players try to amass victory points in a variety of fields (culture, trade, arts etc.). The first player who accumulates 33 points is the overall winner.

Europe Divided
Europe Divided

We are proud to present New Cold War game of strategy and skill.
Caution: recent events present.

Europe Divided is a game of an expansionist Europe, a resurgent Russia, and a new Cold War, taking place over two periods: 1992-2008 (European Expansion) and 2008-2019 (Russian Resurgence). You control of one of the two powers: Europe (controlling both NATO and the European Union) or Russia, managing manage conflicts of political and military influence.

Europe Divided is a tense and quick game of political struggle during the new-Cold War.

Two players face tough choices on how to optimize available resources and actions in order to dominate the regions and win headline events. A game of strategy and skill. No luck is involved and no dice are rolled.

Europe Divided is a game of an expansionist Europe, a resurgent Russia, and a new Cold War. In the game, you control of one of the two powers: Europe (controlling both NATO and the European Union) or Russia. You manage conflicts of political and military influence, vying for control over Central and Eastern Europe as well as the Caucasus. Europe is powerful and rich, but bureaucratic and slow to react. Russia lacks Europe's resources, but can respond rapidly. In this alternative reality the future of Europe is in your hands.

"The threat of world war is no more."
— Soviet Premier Mikhail Gorbachev

The end of the Cold War ushered in a new age of European expansion. Central and Eastern Europe had emerged from dictatorships and wanted to consolidate their democracies. They sought European integration to ensure they would not fall back into the Russian sphere of influence. The EU and NATO offered a guarantee of this, and the EU was also seen as vital to ensuring the economic success of those countries. Russia — a shell of its former power as the Soviet Union — could do nothing to slow the European expansion.

"A strong EU, a strong NATO, and a true strategic partnership between them is profoundly in our interest."
— US Senator John McCain

But then things changed. Oil prices increased, bolstering Russia's economy. Putin came to power, and despite political discontent in Russia, his popularity remained strong. In 2008, war broke out between Russia and the NATO-aspirant, former Soviet country of Georgia. Russia's resurgence had begun, exemplified by the 2014 annexation of Crimea and invasion of eastern Ukraine.

"If we do not win the New Cold War on terms of our choosing, we will fight at a time and place chosen by our adversary, and the odds will be tilted against us."
— Edward Lucas former Moscow Bureau Chief for The Economist

It also need to be remembered, that, as Lord Palmerston put it, "In international relations, there are no permanent friends or permanent enemies, only permanent interests." and those who once were friends may soon not be so anymore for the Wheel of political Fortune spins constantly.

One also need to remember, that the point of view in Moscow might be and often is different to that in the West and such is the judgement of the past events. The designers and developers of this game tried to do their best, to make sure, no single point of view is prevalent and the international politics are looked upon from conservative and neutral perspective. The flavour text on the cards are shown from the perspective of the respective side of the conflict and do not represent our point of view, only serving deeper immersion.

Europe Divided takes place over two periods: 1992-2008 (European Expansion) and 2008-2019 (Russian Resurgence). Players score victory points by having dominant influence in contested countries in Central Europe, Eastern Europe, and the Caucasus. They can also score victory points by bringing key historical events to fruition. The player with the most victory points at the end of the two periods wins.

Europe Divided is rich with history and includes today's potential flashpoints, but it features a quick-playing card-driven core mechanism. Players use cards associated with countries they control to establish political and military influence, gain money, and build and deploy their military presence. An elegant deck-manipulation mechanism weakens players' decks as they increase their influence, creating a tension point between seeking to expand and overreaching. Players also compete over key political events throughout the game. Will the Velvet Revolution result in the split of the Czech Republic and Slovakia? How will the Bosnian War end? The players will decide the fate of history throughout this period of Europe Divided.

Area control, deck building, political war-euro game.

Europe Divided. Three powers. Two players. One Europe.

U-Boot: The Board Game
U-Boot: The Board Game

Amazing immersive gaming experience!

U-BOOT: The Board Game is a fully cooperative, real-time tabletop game of WW2 submarine warfare, designed by Iron Wolf Studio. It allows 1 to 4 players to assume the roles of the Captain, the First Officer, the Navigator, and the Chief Engineer on board of a type VIIC U-boat. The game is driven by a companion app, allowing for an unprecedented level of realism, as well as a challenging enemy A.I. which will push your skills to the limit. The action unfolds both on the strategic and the tactical scale, always demanding teamwork, efficient crew management, and quick situation assessment.

Each of the four roles entails unique responsibilities, encouraging the players to develop an efficient communication scheme and use genuine navy terminology. The Captain oversees the completion of mission objectives, supervises action point costs, and is responsible for the crew's morale. The First Officer operates the companion app, manages the flow of information, and takes care of the crew's health. The Navigator steers the submarine by setting its course and depth, but also updates all the essential information on the strategic, and the tactical map. Last, but not least, is the Chief Engineer, who is responsible for the engines, repairs, as well as other mechanical implements on board of the U-boat (such as the ballast tanks, weapon systems, etc.). At the same time, each of the four officers commands his own group of crew members by issuing orders within a worker placement system.

The idea behind the companion app is to deliver a real-time, realistic gameplay experience. To that end, the app features the most essential instruments of the u-boat (such as the periscope, the hydrophone, and the Enigma, among others). Rest assured, however, that the vast majority of gameplay traditionally takes place on the game board, with the instruments revealing otherwise hidden information, and the app requiring only certain data (such as the U-boat's course, speed, etc.) in order to generate an adequate A.I. response of the enemy force. It is also responsible for all the ambient sound effects, thus immersing the players even deeper into the claustrophobic interiors of the type VII C. But fear not! With open & play being a design priority, you will be launching torpedoes in no time, thanks to streamlined rules, video tutorials, and variable difficulty levels for each player.

From quick skirmishes, through full combat missions, to an all-out campaign, UBOOT: TBG will let you conduct submarine operations in all major naval theatres of the 2nd World War. Success of these missions hinges on the completion of various tasks delegated to the crew by the Oberkommando der Kriegsmarine (German Navy HQ), which include patrol duty, ambushing convoys, laying mines in enemy waters, and many more! Each mission will require the players to adopt various strategies and different play styles in order to successfully complete it, and the companion app will generate a detailed report at the end of each game session (evaluating player efforts, and possibly awarding decorations, promotions, etc.). That is, if the U-boat makes it back home...

The stage is set and the crew is awaiting your orders. Do you have what it takes to command the Kriegsmarine's finest? Hunt or be hunted, as you brave the stormy seas of the greatest conflict in history!
