Launching in Spring 2014 alongside the awesome range of Achtung! Cthulhu miniatures, Achtung! Cthulhu Showdown! is a standalone miniatures rulebook and full campaign allowing skirmish players to dive in to the world of Achtung! Cthulhu.

Showdown!, is the official miniatures rules for the award-winning Savage Worlds rules system. This release will include all the rules you need to play plus quick rules for sanity loss on the battlefield, details of the Mythos creatures and forces of the Secret War, typical World War Two troop lists for the Western Front, standard scenarios, and a full blown campaign following the adventures of Charlie Company in the Forest of Fear.

There’s a whole skirmish story arc for people to play out, from their first days in the squad to leading a whole company against the forces of the Third Reich and the Mythos. The great thing about Showdown! is that it lets you take the essence of the Savage Worlds roleplaying game, turn the action up to 11 and pump hot lead into the face of tentacled evil!

Modiphius Entertainment will be releasing Achtung! Cthulhu: Showdown! (written by Dave Blewer and Mark Margraf) as part of their ever-expanding Achtung! The Enclave are the last vestiges of the pre-war system of government in the United States of America. Formed as part of the continuity of government system, the Enclave was formed of high-ranking government officials as well as wealthy industrialists and leading scientific minds. They were to be protected and sheltered from the great war by bunkers and isolated locations, thus preserving the top echelons of the country to rebuild.

Protected from the worse ravages of the war, the Enclave began to plan the re-colonisation of the USA. Years of study has allowed top scientists to perfect weapons and armor technology, as well as training troops from a young age to an almost fanatical level. In combination with isolated living conditions, the Enclave has evolved to see themselves as the true and only heirs to America; above and better than all others, mutants and wastelanders alike. Their plans stretch from annihilation of all non-enclave life to systematic conquest of all that remains of the old world, ‘purifying’ it to their own narrow standards.

Enclave forces are necessarily small but elite, employing sophisticated technology and highly trained soldiers. They break into assault and infiltration teams; special operations forces that further the Enclave’s interests as a scalpel or hammer, depending on orders. Sorties into the wasteland are led by seasoned officers whose zeal for the Enclave is as unwavering as their disgust for mutants and lesser specimens.

The officers are flanked by heavily armed and power armored soldiers who have trained from a young age to wear their rigs. Often painted black to be even more intimidating, their enhanced protection also sports stylised horned helmets, leading it to be called ‘black devil’ power armor. Together with experimental energy weapons, they make for fearsome opponents in a conflict.

The last but most potent members of an assault team are the Tesla Troopers. These electrically-charged fiends blast, zap, burn and liquify any opponents with high-powered energy weapons, carving a path into any foe they come across. Their specially adapted power armor re-energises their guns, increasing their overall damage and rate of fire while reducing time between reloads.

With these forces at their disposal, the Enclave is understandably confident of swift and total victory in the wasteland.

This boxed set contains five 32mm scale multi-part high quality resin Enclave miniatures, each with unique scenic bases, to allow players to expand their Fallout: Wasteland Warfare games. Players will need the Enclave Wave Card Expansion Pack to use the contents of this box.

WARGAMING IN THE WASTELAND! This two-player starter set in pre-assembled multi-part colored PVC is all you need to start playing and includes rules for solo & co-op play!

In Fallout: Wasteland Warfare players will build their own crew from a wide range of factions, allies and iconic characters from the Fallout series, and play in apocalyptic games of 3 - 30 high quality 32mm scale miniatures through a huge variety of iconic scenery and settlement buildings, from the Red Rocket to Sanctuary Hills, Nuka-Cola vending machines and wrecked cars. Pick units or characters to be Heroic giving them access to V.A.T.S bonuses and then select a Leader who can gain Perks and other abilities to support your crew. Develop your settlements buildings, defenses and resources which impacts your crew’s army list and abilities in the wasteland.

Fallout: Wasteland Warfare will include narrative campaigns as well as standard caps based battles. You can also start a random mission with narrative-style objectives, search the wasteland for gear, weapons or caps. Caps recovered in missions can be used to improve the crew’s perks, weapons, gear, and upgrades for the next encounter. Gameplay supports either Player vs. Player, Co-Op or Solo play.

The third edition of Ivan Sorensen’s Five Leagues From the Borderlands puts you in command of a warband of hard-worn adventurers fighting to reclaim the land from the sinister forces that threaten to envelop it in darkness.

This RPG-lite adventure wargame lets you engage in procedurally generated fantasy campaigns, featuring skirmish miniatures battles where you hunt down your foes, sneak into enemy camps, crawl through underground cavern complexes, track down terrifying monsters and engage in multi-stage quests. While you adventure, the game world will fill in your own personal map with locations to explore!

The gritty world of Five Leagues is filled with procedurally generated content, events and scenarios all providing a backdrop to your adventure as you see your heroes gain in experience and skill… if they survive.

The campaign is structured in phases: A town phase allowing you to build up your warband and pursue activities such as hunting, repairing your kit or talking to the locals. An adventuring phase where you travel on the game map, explore locations and fighting battles with the growing numbers of enemies. And finally you determine the outcomes of these activities, such as whether your heroes were injured, how much experience they gained and whether the enemy is plotting against you!

The game is written for solo play from the ground up, as the game system creates the challenges and scenarios to engage in. You can also play co-op with one or more friends, exploring the world together.

The game is figure agnostic, allowing you to use most ranges of fantasy miniatures, with a typical game having 12-15 figures on the table.

Five Leagues From The Borderlands is written by Ivan Sorensen, the author of Five Parsecs From Home, which had a successful launch this spring via Modiphius’s publishing programme and they have teamed up again to bring out this new edition of Five Leagues’. Fans can expect lots of new content such as underground delves, the quest system and multiple player species, as well as updated and improved game rules.
