Fields of Battle brings the long awaited miniature battle rules to your table. Herein are all the tools you are going to need to decide the outcome of large scale warfare. Playable with all miniatures Fields of Battle is a highly adaptable, easy to learn rules set that allow you to conduct small battles between a few dozen combatants or large scale warfare between the armies of Kings. Based upon the Castles & Crusades Siege Engine these battle rules are perfect for your C&C game; but are more than useful for simple large scale combat.

By its very nature the Castles and Crusades™ fantasy role playing game lends itself readily to the blending of such classic battlefield struggles into the elegant structure of its game design. This simple, straight-forward, and easy to use system easily simulates battles between hundreds and even thousands of combatants in a single gaming session. The Fields of Battle™ modification to the Siege Engine™ places the PCs and their arch enemies on the same battlefield right alongside the forces of combatants, allowing their skills and abilities to have a direct impact on the wars that they wage.

The Fields of Battle™ version of the Siege Engine™ is designed for quickness and ease of use. To simulate large scale warfare using the Fields of Battle, players may use whatever markers to represent troop units that they have on hand. Such markers could include dice, chips, jelly beans, counters, plastic army men, or simple symbols and arrows drawn on a blank sheet of paper or dry erase mat. Basically one need not spend a fortune collecting numerous game pieces to represent their vast armies in order to enjoy playing out important campaign battles.
