AN ALTERNATE HISTORY GAME OF AIR FLEET BATTLES
Leviathans simulates combat between warships that have taken to the air in an alternate history 1910. The king leviathans, battleships, are the largest vessels. Maneuvering in support are light cruisers, destroyers and other vessels. Will you captain your fleet for king and country, expanding your nation’s power and becoming legend? Or will you fall from the sky, forgotten?
You determine the outcome!
Players move the ships of their fleet on a hex board to best advantage, using
their smaller cruisers and destroyers to protect their battleships or sprint
through enemy lines to get into the weak stern of enemy ships. All the details
for attack are on each miniatures’ Ship Card, where colored Weapon, Crew and Location icons correspond to colored dice. A player quickly reviews his Ship Card, selecting appropriate dice, adding additional dice after reviewing the target Ship and then rolls all dice in a Breach Roll. If the result is equal to or higher than the Breach Number in an equipment slot as indicated by the Slot Dice that slot is destroyed. If a Breach Roll indicates a previously destroyed slot, additional damage can occur, including the potential for a Breaking the Keel roll that can snap a ship in half and send it tumbling from the skies!
