A village-building legacy game

The prosperous Kingdom of Greengully, ruled for centuries by the Forever King, has issued a decree to its citizens to colonize the vast lands beyond its borders. In an effort to start a new village, the Forever King has selected 6 citizens for the task, each of whom has a unique set of skills they use to build their charter.

In Charterstone, a competitive legacy game scaled for 1-6 players, you construct buildings and inhabit a shared village. Building stickers are removed from cards and permanently added to your charter on the board, becoming action spaces for any player to use (kind of like Lords of Waterdeep, Caylus and Ora et Labora). Thus, a few available buildings soon grow into a bustling village with dozens of actions.

Pandemic Legacy: Season 2 offers a dynamic experience that sweeps players up in a desperate fight for survival. Having grown up on the havens, the mainland is largely a mystery to you. But now you must travel there to maintain the grid of remaining cities and explore the areas of the world that have fallen dark.

This task will not be easy. The plague has hit the mainland hard and there is no hope of developing a cure. The cities that remain need the supplies you provide to keep hanging on. Pandemic Legacy: Season 2 presents a unique spin on the classic Pandemic formula. The City, Epidemic, and Event cards all return, but instead of removing Disease cubes from the board, you must now add Supply cubes to ward off the plague.

These Supply cubes are a precious commodity, and your team must carefully balance producing more of them with getting them to the cities that need them most. Drawing a city’s Infection card forces the locals to use a Supply cube to prevent the plague from spreading, which means you need to constantly deliver fresh supplies if you want to maintain the grid.

If there are no Supply cubes in a city when its City card is drawn, it can no longer keep the plague at bay and becomes infected. As there is no cure, infected cities pose a grave threat to you and your team. Characters entering a city infected with a plague run the risk of being exposed to it. There’s no guarantee that exposure will lead to any detrimental effects, but it will always be a threat. Ultimately, it’s up to you to decide when to risk exposure and when to play it safe, letting the infected city fend for itself.

AN UNKNOWN COUNTRY
The world players enter at the beginning of Pandemic Legacy: Season 2 has changed significantly since Pandemic Legacy: Season 1. As you begin your first game, only a small portion of the world is visible, the few surrviving cities that remain on the grid. On top of supplying the mainland with the antibiotics, food, medicine, and tools it needs to survive, you must explore the once-known parts of the globe that have since gone dark. Once there, your team will make discoveries, and encounter new dangers and challenges as you search for answers.

With the collapse of society as we know it, modern conveniences are gone as well; there is limited communication, diminished medical technology, and reduced transportation networks. As such, you will have to go without the luxury of air travel that has been central to much of the Pandemic series. Instead, you must rely on boats to sail from port to port, but inland there is no such option.

Most of the cities on the grid when the game opens are connected by sea routes. However, as your network grows and supplies are needed farther away from the havens, delivering them becomes more and more difficult. You must carefully coordinate with your team if you hope to reestablish contact with settlements on the fringes of civilization.

The King’s Dilemma is an interactive narrative experience with legacy elements, featuring several branching storylines leading to many possible finales and an evolving deck of event cards at its core.

In The King’s Dilemma, players represent the various Houses leading the government of the Kingdom of Ankist. You will draw one card from the Dilemma deck each round and experience the game story as it unfolds. Each card will pose a problem that the Council will have to resolve on the King’s behalf. As members of the King’s inner circle, your decisions will determine how the story proceeds and the fate of the kingdom. Each event only happens once: you will discuss and bargain with the other players and finally you will have to make a choice, determining the outcome, progressing the game story, and possibly unlocking more events.

You will have to keep the kingdom going, while also seeking an advantage for your own House; this power struggle may lead the kingdom into war, famine, or riot, or it could generate wealth and well-being. It will depend on your choices! The thing is, each decision has consequences, what is good for the kingdom as a whole may be bad for your family.

In Vampire: The Masquerade – Heritage, you play the role of an ancient vampire. You shape seven hundred years of vampiric and human history in pursuit of ancient secrets, while trying to evade the inquisition and attempting to save what's left of your humanity.

Heritage is a quick-playing legacy game. Each game, players gather characters from a common pool for their bloodlines. These characters influence different vampiric "battlegrounds" and help in fulfilling history-based missions. For example, a noble-born warrior might support Joan of Arc in ending the siege of Orleans, while at the same time changing the balance of an internal vampiric power struggle or attracting the unwanted attention of the inquisition. Aside from collecting characters in their bloodline, players can also use the unique intrigue cards of the clan they are playing — changing the rules of the game in ways that fit the character of that particular clan.

After any individual game, the players get to collect their achievements in their timeline, which serves as a chronicle of their actions throughout the seven hundred years of history and also influences the final outcome of the campaign.

Additionally, players may turn some mortals into vampires permanently by taking the cards out of their sleeves and turning them around, revealing their vampiric side and giving them new abilities and a name. These get put back in the common pool and can be additionally enhanced in future games. To allow for surprises when embracing mortals, all character cards come pre-sleeved!

In this fashion, players proceed through history as determined by the progression of historic mission cards, unlocking new challenges, characters, and rewards along the way.

Eventually, the seven hundred years will end with a climactic conclusion as players scramble to unravel ancient mysteries using the clues, allies, and power they have gathered throughout the campaign.
