Hero Realms
Hero Realms

Hero Realms is a fantasy-themed expandable deckbuilding game from the creators of Star Realms (winner of multiple game-of-the-year awards).

* Battle with your friends one-on-one or in groups.
* Add custom starting decks to play as a Cleric, Fighter, Ranger, Thief, Wizard or even a mighty Dragon!
* Bring in a campaign deck for cooperative adventures with your friends. Complete adventures to earn experience points that you can spend between sessions to gain skills, equipment, or other awesome new cards for your character's starting deck.

Hero Realms is based on the Star Realms game engine, so it is fun and easy to learn, but the all-new cards create an exciting new game experience that provides fresh gameplay even for the veteran Star Realms player.

Gameplay:
The Hero Realms base game, like Star Realms, combines the fun of a deckbuilding game with the interactivity of trading card game style combat. Each player starts with a ten-card personal deck containing gold (for buying) and weapons (for combat). Each turn you get a new hand of five cards from your personal deck. When your deck runs out of cards, you shuffle your discard pile into your new deck.

Shared between all players is an 80-card Market Deck. The game begins with five cards from that deck revealed, creating the Market Row. As you play, you use gold to buy champion cards and action cards from the Market. These champions and actions can generate large amounts of gold, combat, or other powerful effects. You use combat to attack your opponent and their champions. When you reduce your opponent’s score (called health) to zero, you win!

Game features:
* Great gameplay for 2-4 players
* 144 beautifully illustrated cards including score cards and starting decks for four players
* Full color rules for two player games, and awesome multiplayer formats like Free-For-All, Hunter and Hydra
* A sturdy, attractive 4" x 6" x 2" game box

Hero Realms: Boss Deck -Dragon
Hero Realms: Boss Deck -Dragon

The things that make men's blood run cold. The danger, the darkness, the destroyer, the big bad guy. Yup, that's you!

Play as a mighty Dragon and take on an entire group of your friends and their pathetic, puny, mortal characters. Or, if you're up for a real challenge, you and a friend can battle these boss decks against each other!

With this Boss Deck, you play as a mighty Dragon! You must defend your precious treasures against a team of meddlesome adventurers who foolishly dispute your claim to the city of Thandar and all of it's riches.

The Dragon is a powerhouse. It has a ton of health, a large hand size, and very powerful cards in its starting deck.

Health
The dragon has 50 health for each starting opponent, so when playing against 3 players it has 150 health, and against 5 it has a massive 250 health!

When playing against another Boss, the Boss gets 150 Health and a 7 card hand size.

Hand Size
Hand Size is also determined by It's number of starting opponents. The Dragon gets 4 cards + 1 per opponent, so when facing a 3 heroes it gets a 7 card hand size, 8 cards when battling 4 heroes, etc.

Starting Deck
The Dragon's starting deck will contain 10-18 cards, depending on the number of heroes it is battling.

The dragons starting deck is filled with powerful cards. For each additional opponent, the Dragon adds two specific cards to it's starting deck.

The Dragon's starting deck also contains a special coin of each faction. In addition to providing 1 gold, these also count as a card of that faction, making it easier for the Dragon to trigger ally abilities.

Many in Thandar believe the Dragon to be invincible, and work with it despite its tyranny. Just like the heroes, the Dragon buys cards from the Market to use in its deck.

Treasure Horde
Amongst the Dragon's vast horde of treasure are powerful magic items the Dragon can use. These are represented by the 9 Hoard Item cards which form a separate Treasure Hoard deck with special card backs.

Whenever the Dragon plays the Hoard card from it's personal deck, it gets to put one of it's powerful Hoard Items into play!

These magic items can be key to the Dragon's victory.
But if the Dragon is not vigilant, these items can be turned against it!

While the Dragon is taunted, a player may steal a Hoard Item by preforming a Skill Check (discarding cards from their hand with total cost equal to or greater than the Skill Check number).

Taunting the Dragon
Despite their devious intellect, dragons are prideful and quick to anger. If a player deals at least 10 damage to the Dragon in a single turn, the Dragon becomes taunted and will only spend combat to deal damage to that player and their champions next turn. This can be a great way for players to buy time for a teammate who is low on health. (If multiple players dealt 10+ damage, the Dragon can attack any or all of those players.)

Boss decks include 30 cards. Each boss is unique, having different numbers of cards in their starting decks, different ability cards, and even brand new card types.

Contains 30 cards:
* 18 starting deck cards
* 9 Treasure Hoard cards
* 2 score cards
* the Dragon boss card.

Hero Realms: Boss Deck -Lich
Hero Realms: Boss Deck -Lich

The things that make men's blood run cold. The danger, the darkness, the destroyer, the big bad guy. Yup, that's you!

Play as an undead Lich and take on an entire group of your friends and their pathetic, puny, mortal characters. Or, if you're up for a real challenge, you and a friend can battle these boss decks against each other!

The Lich Boss Deck contains 30 cards: A 10 card starting deck, a 10 card Grimoire, 6 Soul Jar cards, a Corruption card, 2 score cards, and a Lich boss card.

This Boss Deck lets you play as an undead Lich. You will use your dark magic to corrupt the minds of the living and summon forth a legion of the dead!

Soul Jars
The Lich has stored his life force in several “Soul Jars” that now power its dark magic. To defeat the Lich, all of these Soul Jars must be destroyed! When the game begins, the Lich player shuffles the six Soul Jars and deals one face down into a "Soul Jar deck" for each opposing player. Then, the top Soul Jar is revealed and placed next to the Lich. The Lich’s Health total is set to the amount indicated on the Soul Jar. The Lich may use the power of the Soul Jar during its turn. If the Lich’s health total is reduced to zero, the revealed Soul Jar is destroyed, and if there are no Soul Jars left in the deck, the party wins! Otherwise the next Soul Jar is revealed, the Lich’s health is set to the appropriate amount, and play continues.

Starting Deck
While the Lich's hand size is five regardless of the number of heroes it is battling, the power of many of the Lich's cards increase when played against larger parties.

Some of the cards in the Lich's deck allow it to summon undead from it's special Grimoire deck. When the Lich preforms a summoning, the top minion card from it's Grimoire deck is put directly into play!

The Grimoire
The unspeakable rites in this dark tome allow the Lich to summon undead horrors to terrorize the heroes. This deck contains 10 minion cards which fight for the Lich. These minions count as champions for the party’s effects (such as “stun target champion”). However, they do not count as champions for the Lich’s effects. For example, Close Ranks doesn’t give the Lich extra combat for its minions in play. When a minion is stunned, it is shuffled back into the Grimoire.

Corruption and Control
The Lich acquiring cards from the market represents it twisting the minds of the citizens of the city. Whenever the Lich shuffles its deck, if It has 20 or more cards, it begins to corrupt the city, and the Corruption card is placed in front of the Lich. Once gained, the Lich may use it's corruption power every turn! If the Lich has 30 or more cards when it shuffles it's deck, it gains full control over the city of Thandar. The corruption card is flipped over to it's more powerful Control side!

Challenging the Lich
Any party member may Step Up and challenge the Lich during their turn. If they do, no other player may be targeted or attacked by the Lich during his next turn (unless that player is defeated). Note that the Lich may still target and attack all players’ champions as normal. Each party member may only Step Up once per game, so choose your time wisely!
