Star Wars X-Wing: Mining Guild TIE Expansion Pack
Star Wars X-Wing: Mining Guild TIE Expansion Pack

The original TIE/ln design has served as the basis for countless variations serving many purposes, even those outside of Imperial demands. Thanks to their close collaboration with the Empire, the Mining Guild has access to state-of-the-art Sienar Fleet Systems technology, including their own version of this iconic starfighter. The result is a unique take on the TIE design, ideally suited for the Mining Guild’s operations and unlocking new tactical opportunities for your Scum and Villainy squadrons.

Within the Mining Guild TIE Expansion Pack, you’ll find everything you need to supplement your own mining operations and keep the profits flowing. Six ship cards—including four unique pilots—are ready to take the controls of the beautifully detailed, fully assembled Modified TIE/ln Fighter miniature. Meanwhile, five upgrade cards invite you to further customize your Mining Guild TIE to suit the unique needs of your Scum squadron. Rounding out this expansion are a maneuver dial and all the tokens you need to experience this classic starfighter in a whole new way.

The Mining Guild TIE Expansion Pack is set to debut alongside the first Resistance and First Order expansions with Wave II for X-Wing Second Edition in the fourth quarter of 2018. Read on for more information about what twists the Mining Guild TIE brings to your Scum squadrons!

Corporate Control
In the service of the Empire, the countless TIE variations have a single purpose: combat. From fighters that directly engage other starships to bombers that drop a variety of deadly devices throughout the engagement zone, the mass-produced TIE variants are designed to help the Empire dominate space in every aspect of battle. In the hands of a corporate entity like the Mining Guild, however, the TIE takes on a wholly different role.

Rather than launching offensive operations against Rebel targets and overwhelming them with wave after wave of ships, the Mining Guild cares more about protecting its own interests. These concerns carry over into the design of the guild’s version of the TIE. Most noticeably, Mining Guild TIEs have two panels removed from their stabilizers, granting a much-needed boost to their pilots’ peripheral vision when weaving through the treacherous asteroid fields where they normally operate. These Notched Stabilizers, built into every Mining Guild TIE, give these ships the useful ability to ignore asteroids while moving, letting them freely perform risky maneuvers without the threat of damage from these obstacles!

But this increased visibility comes at the cost of a reduced power output. As a result, the Mining Guild TIE loses some of the trademark speed that the ship is known for. While the ship can execute all the same maneuvers as its Imperial counterpart, the decrease in power means that pushing the ship to its farthest limits is a bit more difficult. To manage stress, then, Mining Guild pilots prefer to use the ship’s maneuverability to sharply cut between asteroids and gain a superior position on enemy ships.

Their ship might not boast quite the same performance as the Imperial version, but the corporate pilots who man the Mining Guild TIE are undoubtedly more creative when it comes to the strategies they employ in a dogfight. True to form, these Scum pilots deploy all manner of dirty tricks to put the opposing squadron at a disadvantage. For example, while he defends or performs an attack, Captain Seevor can force the enemy ship to take a jam token—so long as he has avoided being caught in their bullseye arc.

Defend Your Assets
The demand for raw materials has never been higher. If you’re going to properly protect your investments, you’re going to need a starfighter that’s up to the task. Take on any threat with a new take on a classic design!

Star Wars X-Wing: Nantex-class Starfighter Expansion Pack
Star Wars X-Wing: Nantex-class Starfighter Expansion Pack

Dancing nimbly on invisible threads, the Nantex-class starfighter uses an advanced tractor array to perform impossible maneuvers and guide its turret-mounted laser cannon with exceptional precision. Swarms of these agile fighters are the first line of defense for the Separatist stronghold of Geonosis.

In the space battles of X-Wing, expert Nantex-class starfighter pilots make use of tractor tokens to manipulate enemies and their own ships. Not only can they use their ship’s Pinpoint Tractor Array to snap their turrets in place for quick attacks, they are also known to Ensnare enemy ships in their tractor fields, pulling them into the line of fire or obstacles.

Within this expansion, you’ll find six pilots ready to fly the beautifully detailed and pre-painted Nantex-class starfighter miniature. Six upgrade cards give these pilots even more control over their ship, while two Quick Build cards offer useful combinations of pilots and upgrades to get you flying as soon as possible.

Wise Jedi and dedicated clones teaming up against cold, mechanical droid starfighters. Brave Rebels flying against the might of the Empire. A group of pirates in the Outer Rim making a bold raid on an Imperial convoy. The intense space battles of X-Wing™ are varied and can take you to any era of the Star Wars saga. Now, new ships are preparing to make the jump into whatever war you find yourself.

Whether your strategy relies on fast starfighters nimbly outmaneuvering their opponents or heavy ships that can cover any angle, the ships and upgrades you find in this wave unlock deep new options for their factions. As you explore even more of the Clone Wars with new ships for the Galactic Republic and Separatist Alliance, this wave also brings more depth to the Rebel Alliance, Galactic Empire, and Scum and Villainy factions, adding new layers to the Hyperspace format.

Star Wars X-Wing: Orange Bases and Pegs
Star Wars X-Wing: Orange Bases and Pegs

X-Wing is the two-player miniatures game of fantastic, squad-based dogfights set in the Star Wars galaxy. Players assemble their squadrons, calling upon such starfighters as X-wings, TIE fighters, and even the Millennium Falcon. Then they launch their ships into battle.

Since its release in 2012, X-Wing has exploded in popularity, and it continues to grow. There are many reasons for the game’s popularity. They include its highly detailed and pre-painted starship miniatures, an intuitive ruleset that takes only minutes to learn, and the nearly limitless measure of customization permitted by the game’s rules for squad-building.

It is this ability to customize your squad through different pairings of ships and upgrades that allows you to experiment with a wide variety of squadrons and enjoy a wide variety of different play experiences, even with just a few ships. Moreover, the game’s deep possibilities for customization allow you to pursue the squadrons, tactics, and strategies that best suit your tastes.

Now, you can customize your squadron even further with translucent plastic bases and pegs made in five different colors: Blue, Red, Green, Orange, and Purple. These will also be accompanied by bases and pegs in the same clear plastic as you get in your X-Wing Core Set or expansion packs.

Each package of X-Wing colored bases and pegs comes with four small bases, ten small pegs, one large base, and three large pegs. And all of them are X-Wing tournament-legal.

Because they’re manufactured to the same settings as standard X-Wing bases and pegs, you can use your X-Wing colored bases and pegs in tournament play, meaning you can fly Luke Skywalker and your other Red Squadron X-wings on red bases and pegs.

You can distinguish your Binayre Pirates from each other by flying one on an orange base and one on green. Then you can add more thematic color to your squad by outfitting your Hound’s Tooth with an orange base and pegs while outfitting Prince Xizor’s ship with a rich purple base and pegs.

Of course, you can simply use your colored bases and pegs to call out the colors on your ships or to highlight the differences between the game’s factions. Accordingly, you might call out the blue stripes on Poe Dameron’s T-70 X-wing by outfitting it with a blue base and pegs while you fly the First Order’s TIE/fo fighters atop red bases and pegs that echo the aggressive red tint of their cockpit windows.

In the end, your colored X-Wing bases and pegs aren’t just eye-catching, they’re also tremendously helpful in distinguishing your ships from each other and from your opponent’s.

Don’t Just Play Your Games. Live Them.
With its beautiful miniatures, iconic characters, and streamlined rules, X-Wing quickly immerses you in a galaxy full of fantastic, fast-paced space battles. Soon, you’ll be able to add even more to the game’s immersive qualities by adding colored X-Wing bases and pegs to your squadrons. Star Wars X-Wing: Phoenix Cell Squadron Pack
Star Wars X-Wing: Phoenix Cell Squadron Pack

The Rebel squadron known as Phoenix Cell is renowned for good reason. Founded by Hera Syndulla and with members as legendary as Wedge Antilles and Sabine Wren, this unit has been key to countless Rebel victories. Some of its members were raised by resistors; others left the Imperial Academy to fight the Empire’s tyranny. Regardless of the circumstances of their birth or background, its pilots choose to resist the Galactic Empire together.

This expansion contains everything you need to add a finely detailed B-wing miniature in the striking B6 Blade Wing Prototype color scheme, and a pair of A-wings in the alternate markings of Phoenix Squadron to your Rebel Alliance collection. Three small plastic bases, three dials and several ship tokens round out the components. 4 A/SF-01 B-wing and 10 RZ-1 A-wing ship cards let you pick the pilots to fly these infamous starfighters into battle, while 34 upgrade cards invite you to outfit these ships with additional weapons, modifications, commands, and more.

The Phoenix Cell Squadron Pack brings this foundational Rebel squad to the table in Star Wars: X-Wing, including a pair of nimble RZ-1 A-wings and a potent A/SF-01 B-wing starfighter. It also adds iconic aces like Hera Syndulla, Wedge Antilles, Sabine Wren, Ahsoka Tano, and Shara Bey to your squadron, alongside useful faction upgrades like Hopeful and the gunner version of Sabine Wren. It can serve as launch bay into the world of Star Wars: X-Wing or supplement even a veteran player’s Rebel collection with its memorable new pilots and upgrades.

Phoenix Leader’s Legacy
Hera Syndulla is one of the Rebel Alliance’s first and most versatile aces, and this squadron pack includes not one but two more ships for her to fly: the swift RZ-1 A-wing and the hardy A/SF-01 B-wing . Veteran players may also notice that this is a new version of Hera Syndulla, complete with a new subtitle (Phoenix Leader), new pilot ability, and new initiative value: 6. This version of Hera can jockey for position against the quickest foes, like Fenn Rau and other top aces. Her ability also highlights a different side of her: this version of Hera emphasizes her skills as a leader and instructor.

Two of Hera’s most famous proteges also appear in this pack: Wedge Antilles and Derek “Hobbie” Klivian . And even though this reflects Wedge as a fledgling pilot for the Rebellion, before he became known for surviving two trench runs, enemies would be unwise to underestimate this trio of aces. Hera’s ability allows her to set allies up with tokens, which can trigger Hobbie’s ability to shed a red token or give Wedge a deadly double-modified attack—against which the hapless foe rolls one fewer defense die!

Hera also gives a substantial boost to Shara Bey , a hero of Endor appearing in her iconic A-wing for the first time. With Hera granting her a focus token to convert a result, Shara Bey’s A-wing can comfortably grab a lock to throw better-than-three-dice attacks.

And yet despite Hera’s prowess as a leader and an aerial duelist, she has at least one rival for the position of the most potent ace to fly with Phoenix Cell. Ahsoka Tano may also have a support-oriented ability, but with three Force charges and an A-wing’s maneuverability at her disposal, she can keep up with the greatest aces of the Clone Wars.

Looking Back, Looking Forward
The A-wing chassis itself also receives an exciting new option in the Phoenix Cell Squadron Pack. Like its successor the RZ-2, some variants of the RZ-1 are capable of rotating their guns to rear. The Vectored Cannons card exists to reflect this capability and create a new playstyle for the redoubtable RZ-1 in the process. While the RZ-1’s rotating cannons are not as reliable as the refined versions on the RZ-2, the effect occurs in the System Phase, making an RZ-1 with Vectored Cannons one of the slipperiest ships out there. It is also an excellent combination with the included Starbird Slash , allowing an RZ-1 to cruise through a foe with cannons reversed, drop a strain token on it, and then blast it with reduced defenses.

The standard version of the B6 Blade Wing Prototype is a similar clever retrofit, allowing one B-wing in a list to take a Gunner upgrade in addition to its usual complement. This can be an excellent option for Hera Syndulla, as seating her with a Weapons System Officer can help her keep up her firepower while still having locks to hand off to allies.

The can-do attitude that leads pilots to jury-rig their ships for flexible new tactics is the sort of creativity and risk-taking on which the Rebel Alliance survives.

The Hopeful upgrade also embodies the spirit of the Rebel Alliance, helping ships to stay in the fight and stay alive even when facing terrible losses. It is also the first of a cycle of three upgrades in this style: one for the Rebel Alliance, one for the Galactic Empire, and one for Scum and Villainy.

Critical Missions
Many of Phoenix Cell’s most famous engagements would likely be played as scenarios using the rules from the Epic Battles expansion, and so it should come as not surprise that this squadron pack includes several new cards for use in Epic Battles. The powerful B6 Blade Wing Prototype upgrade also comes in a second form usable only in Epic Battles that grants a devastating Range 2-4 attack. With Sabine Wren equipped, Hera can blast a target from across the board and help any allies nearby remove their stress. If executed correctly, this can help free up the maneuverability of allies to break through enemy blockades or stay on key strategic objectives they need to contest for the scenario. Also included is the Phoenix Squadron command card, which allows you to create a mixed wing with the Ghost and supporting smaller ships. This unique formation offers the Ghost and accompanying Sheathipede-class Shuttle or Attack Shuttle some added protection contributed by their selfless RZ-1 A-wing wingmates.

More New Recruits for the Rebel Alliance
The Phoenix Cell Squadron Pack has a number of exciting pilots and upgrades for beloved starfighters like the A-wing and B-wing, and gives the Rebel faction a number of long-awaited, fan-favorite characters. However, even if you haven’t yet joined the Rebellion (or begun collecting X-Wing at all), it is a great place to start. The squadron pack gives you three ships with a variety of pilots on which to base your first squadrons. From here, either of the following products would be excellent follow-ons to expand your Rebel collection:

Purchasing a Star Wars: X-Wing Core Set would give you a T-65 X-wing, with famous pilots like Luke Skywalker and Jek Porkins and a slew of useful upgrades including Proton Torpedoes, additional talent upgrades, Force Power upgrades for Ahsoka, and more. It would also include everything you need to play X-Wing, including maneuver templates, a damage deck, dice, and obstacles, helping you get into the game quickly.

Alternately, if you wanted to expand your options for thematic Star Wars: Rebels lists while substantially increasing the variety in the squads you can build, the Ghost and Phantom II Expansion Pack would give you access to Hera’s famous VCX-100 freighter and the Sheathipede-class shuttle that Spectre Cell flies alongside it. In addition to giving you access to characters like Kanan Jarrus, Ezra Bridger, and, of course, the infamous “Chopper”, this would give you the flexibility to construct numerous different types of squadrons. You could use the Ghost’s firepower and durability to demolish targets you hem in with darting attacks from your A-wings, or you could use the Phantom II as a command platform to set up powerful blasts from a B-wing with nimble A-wing aces like Ahsoka and Wedge to finish the job.

Star Wars X-Wing: Rebel Alliance Conversion Kit
Star Wars X-Wing: Rebel Alliance Conversion Kit

From the blazingly fast A-wing to the iconic Millennium Falcon, the Rebel Alliance fielded a great number of starships during the interstellar battles of the Galactic Civil War. Between the Rebel Alliance Conversion Kit and the extensive catalog of first edition expansions, these ships are available to join your squadron from day one.

Within this conversion kit, veteran players will find all of the components necessary to upgrade their existing Rebel ship collection from the first edition of X-Wing to the second edition. The conversion kit contains a vast array of new ship cards and tokens, including iconic pilots such as Han Solo, alongside more than one-hundred upgrade cards that give you the power to customize your squad to fit your playstyle. Finally, the conversion kit also includes the second edition maneuver dials for each ship, which makes planning your actions easier than ever before.

In addition to being present in the Rebel Alliance Conversion Kit, all of the Rebel Alliance ships and upgrades found in the conversion kit will be fully implemented in the X-Wing Second Edition squad-builder app at launch, giving you the opportunity to experiment with a full complement of new content. Likewise, first-time players can use the conversion kit and first edition expansions to get a feel for the game with as many different ships as possible!

Although many Rebel ships from first edition are making their way into X-Wing Second Edition via the Rebel Alliance Conversion Kit, pilots and ships representing the Resistance, such as Poe Dameron and his T-70 X-wing, will not be present. These brave heroes carry on the spark of the Rebellion as a new generation of freedom fighters and, as such, the Resistance is being developed into a completely separate faction in X-Wing Second Edition. You can look for the Resistance to join X-Wing Second Edition with its own conversion kit during the first round of expansions.

The game's new edition introduces several new elements to the game, including Force powers, multiple-use ordnance, changes to turrets, and several “quality of life” improvements for often-used mechanics. The contents of the Rebel Alliance Conversion Kit reflect these changes, which include the reclassification of several Rebel Alliance ships. In the game's second edition, the BTL-S8 K-wing and ARC-170 have been converted to medium-base ships—a new size of ship base between small and large bases. The Rebel Alliance Conversion Kit also contains all the bases and pegs that you'll need to bring the first edition versions of these ships into the second edition.

The number of ships supported (by maneuver dials included) in Rebel Alliance Conversion Kit are:

3 – A-wing
2 – ARC-170
2 – Auzituck Gunship
2 – B-wing
2 – E-wing
2 – Ghost
2 – HWK-290
2 – K-wing

2 – Phantom I
2 – Phantom II

Star Wars X-Wing: Resistance Conversion Kit

Carrying on the torch first lit by the Rebellion against the Empire, the Resistance remains ever vigilant in its fight to maintain peace throughout the galaxy. With these expansions, you’re invited to join a new generation of heroes and experience the intense space combat seen in The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi from behind the controls of these upgraded versions of iconic ships.

Beginning in X-Wing Second Edition, the Resistance has been spun off from the Rebel Alliance into its own distinct faction and, if you’re a veteran X-Wing player with an existing collection of ships, the Resistance Conversion Kit will bring your T-70 X-wing, YT-1300, and Resistance Bomber ships into the second edition, giving you everything you need to build your own Resistance squadrons. Then, whether you're a new player or a veteran, you’ll be able to grow your squadrons with two Resistance starfighter expansion packs, representing a new generation of pilots and ships in the ongoing Star Wars saga.

Continue the Fight
The Resistance is the only line of defense against the rising tide of the nefarious First Order. Like the Alliance to Restore the Republic before them, the pilots of the Resistance often find themselves outnumbered and outgunned. Fortunately, the Resistance has some of the most advanced starfighters from the entire Star Wars saga at their disposal. With the Resistance Conversion Kit, your first edition versions of these ships can be added to your X-Wing Second Edition squadrons right away.

This kit contains everything you need to upgrade your Resistance ship collection from the first edition to the second edition, including pilot cards, upgrade cards, and ship tokens. Amongst the new ship cards and tokens, you’ll find new versions of Resistance heroes like Poe Dameron and Rey, each ready to bring their unique abilities to your custom-built squadrons. These pilots are complemented by over one-hundred upgrade cards that you can use to customize your squadron to fit your play style, including ten Tech upgrade cards only available to starfighters from this era. Finally, the conversion kit gives you plenty of options for rounding out your Resistance squadrons, containing enough maneuver dials to convert three Resistance Bombers, three YT-1300s, and four T-70 X-wing fighters.

In addition to being present in the Resistance Conversion Kit, all of these Resistance pilots, ships, and upgrades will be fully implemented in the X-Wing Second Edition squad-builder app when they are released. A PDF with the point values of all Resistance pilots and upgrades will also be available for reference on our website. New players can also use the conversion kit and first edition versions of Resistance ships for even more options when building their squads!

Star Wars X-Wing: RZ-2 A-Wing Expansion Pack
Star Wars X-Wing: RZ-2 A-Wing Expansion Pack

The Need for Speed
The second upcoming Resistance ship expansion marks a brand-new ship's first entrance to the fast-paced dogfights of X-Wing. The main interceptor of the Resistance, the RZ-2 A-wing is the natural evolution of its predecessor used by the Rebel Alliance. With several field-tested refinements integrated into its design, the new generation of A-wing fighters boasts incredible maneuverability to go along with blazingly fast speed, which makes mastering this craft a challenge worthy of the greatest aces.

Resistance pilots are always looking for ways to push the RZ-2 to the limits of its performance, and much of the challenge of flying the ship in combat is keeping it safe. While the RZ-2 A-wing’s three defense dice and ability to evade incoming attacks make it a hard target to hit, its redesigned swivel mounts deter pursuers by allowing pilots to target enemies behind them. One of the ship’s many improvements over earlier models, these built-in Refined Gyrostabilizers provide the RZ-2 with a turret arc that can rotate exclusively between the front and back of the ship. This gives it some much needed flexibility in where it fires, but intrepid pilots must carefully choose where to direct their fire or miss out on opportunities elsewhere.

If its reversible cannons don’t provide enough of a defensive boon, the RZ-2 A-wing can always rely on the five upgrade cards included in the RZ-2 A-Wing Expansion Pack for help. For example, the ship is already highly maneuverable, but adding some Primed Thrusters makes it even more so. If you have two or fewer stress tokens, this tech upgrade allows you to quickly barrel roll or boost away from incoming fire, even while stressed.

With six ship cards—including four unique pilots—and five upgrade cards, plus the maneuver dial and tokens included in this expansion pack, the RZ-2 A-Wing Expansion Pack gives you everything you need to stand toe-to-toe with the First Order’s best!
