Master the Ancient Arts of War

War Chest is a simple to learn, yet highly re-playable and exciting war game, where each player controls a unique army. It combines drafting, with an elegant army composition mechanic. Each player plays with different units, requiring you to develop alternate strategies to balance the need to recruit more troops, offset your losses and effectively maneuver your soldiers.

To succeed you must successfully manage not only your armies on the battlefield, but those that are waiting to be deployed. Each round you will draw 3 Unit Coins from your bag and then take turns using them to perform actions. Each coin shows a military unit on one side and can be used for one of several actions. The game ends when one player, or one team in the case of a four-player game, has placed all of their control markers. That player or team is the winner!

War Chest is an easy-to-learn, tricky-to-master, elegant battlefield strategy game. Game play is simple and available to even non-gamers, whilst at the same time presenting depth of play and replayability.

The game is presented in a box that appears to be old and well loved. It is an ancient game, newly rediscovered and presented as it would have once been gifted to the sons and daughters of kings, as a way for them to learn battlefield strategy.

The queen sat down with her child the next day, and together they opened the book. They found that the insides had been carved out and filled with more coins for their game, as well as some letters and wax seals. They took their chest from the shelf, opened it, and began to play...

The chivalric system was a huge part of medieval warfare. Various offices of state were handed out to the highborn of the land, from Bannermen that surrounded kings and queens, to Earls and Heralds enacting their liege’s will across the realm. Bishoprics had much land and influence associated with them, and were sought after position for nobles.
