Star Wars Legion: Fleet Troopers Unit Expansion
Star Wars Legion: Fleet Troopers Unit Expansion

From the opening shots of A New Hope, we’re introduced to an ongoing space battle as a massive Star Destroyer closes in on a tiny corvette. The first characters we see within the beleaguered Tantive IV are C-3PO and R2-D2, but only moments later, we witness a squad of troopers dashing down the hallway to defend Leia Organa’s starship against the Imperial boarding party. With this Unit Expansion, you can bring those soldiers’ dedication and readiness for battle to your games of Star Wars: Legion.

The Fleet Troopers Unit Expansion immediately expands the options available to your Rebel armies with seven unpainted, easily assembled Fleet Trooper miniatures. An assortment of upgrade cards lets you customize your Fleet Troopers to match the battles you expect to face. After all, whether you’re battling in the tight corridors of a starship or on a more open battlefield, your Fleet Troopers can make the difference in your fights. Releasing alongside the Leia Organa Commander Expansion, these two expansions promise to shake up Rebel Alliance tactics for Star Wars: Legion.

Ready for Action
The addition of the Fleet Troopers to your Rebel forces immediately gives you new options when it comes to determining the corps units that will form the core of any army. Whereas Rebel Troopers are well equipped to engaging in battle on a variety of planets, the Fleet Troopers are more specialized in their modes of attack.

Trained for close-quarters combat onboard the naval vessels of the Rebel Alliance, the Fleet Troopers wield their rapid-fire DH-17 blaster pistols with uncommon potency. Although a Rebel Trooper armed with a A-280 blaster rifle may be more accurate, the Fleet Troopers’ DH-17 blaster pistols produce a greater volume of fire, with each weapon firing two white dice in every attack. It’s also important for new commanders to note that DH-17 blaster pistols have a shorter range than the standard-issue blaster rifles used by the Rebel Troopers. This shorter range is immaterial when doing battle in the close confines of a starship, but can play a role on a larger battlefield.

Fleet Troopers are also less accustomed to nimbly diving for cover and dodging enemy fire than the Rebel Troopers included in the Star Wars: Legion Core Set. However, they can perfectly make up for it with their willingness to bide their time and wait for the enemy to come into optimum range. Fleet Troopers carry the Ready 1 ability, which grants them an aim token whenever they perform a standby action. Because the standby action lets a unit hold its action until an enemy unit moves nearby, your Fleet Troopers can wait to move or attack until the perfect opportunity presents itself.

A variety of heavy weapons miniatures can also be added to your squad of Fleet Troopers to supplement your firepower with new and deadly weapons. You may equip a Fleet Trooper with a MPL-57 grenade launcher, perfectly capable of blasting through cover or punching through the armor on an enemy vehicle. Alternatively, you may use scatter guns to quickly inflict massive damage—cutting down enemy troopers with ease.

Out of the Starship
It’s nearly time for your Fleet Troopers to come out of their starships and report to the larger battlefield.

Star Wars Legion: General Veers Commander Expansion
Star Wars Legion: General Veers Commander Expansion

Take your Imperial ground assaults to the next level!

Imperial commanders will soon have more options than ever before when they choose who will lead their troops into combat—General Veers, the first new commander for the Imperial forces, is coming soon to Star Wars: Legion. An expert in ground combat, and especially noted for his use of walkers in the surface attack on Hoth, General Veers is well acquainted with leading the Empire’s finest into battle against insurgents such as the Rebel Alliance.

Within the General Veers Commander Expansion, you’ll find all the materials that you need to add General Veers to your army as a commander—leading an army on his own or standing side-by-side with another Imperial commander, such as Darth Vader. This expansion pack offers an unpainted General Veers miniature and his three personal command cards, inviting you to bring Veers’ personal touch to the Imperial armies that you lead into battle. What’s more, like other Unit Expansions for Star Wars: Legion, this Commander Expansion includes a unit card for General Veers and an assortment of upgrade cards that you can use to equip General Veers or another unit for battle in even the most hostile environments.

Walkers Sighted
Some commanders, such as Darth Vader, are fearsome combatants on the battlefield, making a striking impact simply by their mere presence on the battlefield. While Darth Vader may cleave his way through Rebel troopers using his lightsaber mastery and his prowess over the Force, General Veers plays an equally pivotal role by inspiring your other units to greater heights.

General Veers is far from incapable of participating in direct combat. His E-11 Blaster Rifle gives him a powerful ranged attack, and even if caught in hand-to-hand combat, Veers’s combat expertise is sufficient to continue dealing out damage. Still, General Veers’s most potent abilities come into play when he is coordinating the attack from the front lines. For example, General Veers bears the Spotter 2 ability—as an action, he can choose two friendly units at Range 1 and grant each of those units an aim token. By spotting and choosing targets for powerful units like the AT-ST, General Veers can have an undeniable impact on the shape of the battlefield.

With General Veers, Imperial players suddenly have options when choosing a commander for their armies—or potentially even fielding both General Veers and Darth Vader in the same army. An army may have up to two units with the commander rank, and when issuing orders during the Command Phase, you’ll choose one of your two commanders and issue the orders from that unit. You may even find that General Veers is ideal for issuing orders while you send Darth Vader charging into the fray—especially if you upgrade Veers with a Commanding Presence, enabling him to issue orders at up to Range 4!

General Veers also comes with an array of three unique command cards, which you have the option of including in your hand of seven carefully chosen command cards, provided you have General Veers in your army. Each of these command cards speaks to General Veers’s nature as a cunning tactician and a skilled commander of vehicles… and your opponent may soon learn that Imperial discipline is capable of shaking off the effects of any suppressive fire.

Landfall on Hoth
You may be leading the assault on Hoth, or you may be fighting on one of the countless other battlefields of the Galactic Civil War, leading the mighty Imperial war machine into battle wherever you find it. Take command of your forces and crush the Rebellion under your boot!

Star Wars Legion: Han Solo Commander Expansion
Star Wars Legion: Han Solo Commander Expansion

From his first introduction in a seedy cantina on Tatooine to his unorthodox leadership of the Rebel strike team on Endor, Han Solo is one of the most beloved heroes of the Star Wars saga. Over the years, he’s played a lot of roles: gambler, smuggler, scoundrel, and finally, general of the Rebel Alliance. Soon, you’ll be able to have Han Solo leading your Rebel troopers and vehicles into battle—and he’s got the skills to ensure that you can always shoot first.

Within the Han Solo Commander Expansion, Rebel leaders will find everything they need to add Han Solo as a commander to their Star Wars: Legion armies. A single unpainted, easily assembled miniature features Han Solo with his DL-44 heavy blaster pistol drawn and ready to fire. Three new upgrade cards give you the tools to outfit Han Solo or another unit for battle, and three command cards let you bring Han’s trademark daring and braggadocio to the field. Releasing alongside the Rebel Commandos Unit Expansion, these two expansions let you create your own battles on Endor or any other planet from the Star Wars galaxy.

Sorry About the Mess
Han Solo enters the game of Star Wars: Legion as the Rebellion’s third commander, taking his place alongside Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa to round out the trio of heroes from the classic Star Wars trilogy. As we’ve already explored, a Star Wars: Legion army can have up to two commanders, and with the release of Han Solo, you have choices to make if you want two commanders in your army. Whether you pair him with the Force powers and combat prowess of Luke Skywalker or the inspiring leadership of Leia Organa, Han has a bag of tricks for any commander to take advantage of.

Han Solo wouldn’t be caught on the battlefield without his trusty DL-44 blaster pistol. This blaster pistol can pierce through enemy blocks and when Han Solo’s the one pulling the trigger, it’ll almost always hit his target. Even if your opponent manages to catch Han Solo in melee combat, he’s no slouch in a brawl. Still, Han Solo’s preferred weapon is his blaster, and his abilities make him even more dangerous to your enemies.

For instance, most units in Star Wars: Legion are limited to a single attack per activation—and only the most powerful units have the power to break that limit. Han Solo, as you might expect, is one of those units. Han is already placing his shots hard and accurately with his DL-44 blaster pistol, and his Gunslinger ability rewards you for making these ranged attacks. After you take a ranged attack action with Han Solo, you can immediately perform an additional ranged attack against a different unit!

Han Solo’s sharpshooting can certainly help you wherever he stands in the battle, but his three personal command cards give you the power to shape the unfolding conflict with Han’s unique brand of leadership. For example, you might need to guarantee that you have priority for one round of the battle. Sorry About the Mess lets you ensure that Han Solo can always shoot first. Unlike every other command card, Sorry About the Mess has zero pips in its upper-left corner, ensuring that you’ll always win priority. And while it only lets you give an order to Han Solo, he gains an aim token and a dodge token when you issue that order, prepping Han Solo to run or fight—whichever you need!

You’re a Scoundrel
Han Solo may be a smuggler and a scoundrel, but he’s willing to take up arms and fight alongside the Rebel Alliance. And soon, you can do the same in your games of Star Wars: Legion.

Star Wars Legion: Imperial Bunker Battlefield Expansion
Star Wars Legion: Imperial Bunker Battlefield Expansion

As outposts and data centers, Imperial bunkers play a pivotal role in securing the Empire’s reign over the galaxy. Found on Imperial-controlled planets such as Scarif and the forest moon of Endor, these bunkers keep some of the Empire’s most vital military secrets and command centers safe. Soon, one of these bunkers can be a flashpoint in your own battles across the Star Wars galaxy. Fantasy Flight Games is proud to announce the Imperial Bunker Battlefield Expansion for Star Wars: Legion!

Whether protecting what lies within, or fighting to extract vital information, any battle fought over a bunker could stand as a turning point in the war and the Imperial bunker miniature and six modular computer terminal miniatures you find in this expansion are sure to become a focal point of your battles. Not only does this unpainted, finely detailed miniature enhance any battlefield with a piece of thematic Star Wars terrain, six new battle cards can make it the centerpiece of an epic, two-act scenario that sees one side desperately attempting to disable the bunker while the other mounts a valiant defense.

Heavy Fortifications
The Empire has many secrets to protect and—no matter where in the galaxy they are kept—they are usually found sealed behind the doors of a fortified Imperial bunker. This makes these bunkers ripe targets for Rebel raids and the Imperial bunker in this Battlefield Expansion is sure to play a large role in any battle that takes place in the area surrounding it.

Whatever your objective, the bunker is more than just another piece of terrain. Not only can the its door be turned around to display an alternate design, it can be removed altogether, allowing your battles to spill into the interior. Once there, your troops can fight amongst six modular computer terminals that can be arranged however you see fit. Alternatively, these terminals can be placed in the bunker or anywhere on the battlefield to bring your objectives to life.

While the Imperial bunker can be easily incorporated into the fabric of any Star Wars: Legion battle, the secrets it contains are likely to be of value to both sides and the Imperial Bunker Battlefield Expansion gives you the power to make it the central focus of a new, two part battle. Six battle cards put the bunker at the very center of the battlefield, setting the stage with unique deployments, objectives, and conditions that give both sides different objectives to complete.

This scenario begins with the red player embarking on a valiant Rescue Mission to free some of their captured comrades-in-arms held inside the bunker. The Prisoners are well defended behind the bunker's heavy blast door and the barricades that guard its entrance, but the red player does have an advantage: The total points of their army can equal up to 900 points. What's more, they have the element of surprise and can quickly move towards the bunker.

This advantage quickly dissipates as the second act opens, however. Alerted to the enemy presence, the blue player has the bunker Surrounded and secured. With their prisoners recovered, it is now up to the red player to find a way to somehow Disable the Bunker by planting and detonating objective tokens inside it. But this will be no easy task. The bunker is a heavily Defended Fortification and the red player no longer has the element of surprise. As a result, trooper units the blue player has inside the bunker can spend their activation broadcasting tactical information to friendly units.

With a beautiful new miniature to add to your battlefields and a unique new scenario, the Imperial Bunker Battlefield Expansion adds even more variety to your games of Star Wars: Legion!

Breach the Bunker
There's no telling what secrets could be hidden away in an Imperial bunker. You can battle for control of these secrets when the Imperial Bunker Battlefield Expansion is released in the fourth quarter of 2019!

Star Wars Legion: Imperial Royal Guards Unit Expansion
Star Wars Legion: Imperial Royal Guards Unit Expansion

As the ruler of the Galactic Empire, Emperor Palpatine is the ultimate power in the galaxy. Wherever he goes, the Imperial Royal Guard is sure to follow, even onto the battlefields of Star Wars: Legion. Fantasy Flight Games is proud to announce the Imperial Royal Guards Unit Expansion!

Inscrutable behind their blood-red masks, the Imperial Royal Guard will face down anyone that dares threaten the Emperor. While little is known about these enigmatic warriors, one thing is certain: their sole directive is to protect the leader of the Galactic Empire, with their lives if necessary.

The Imperial Royal Guards Unit Expansion contains everything you need to add a unit of Emperor Palpatine’s personal bodyguards to your army. The squad of four unpainted, easily assembled miniatures stands ready to protect the Emperor or do his bidding on any planet across the galaxy. The Royal Guard is also accompanied by five distinct upgrade cards that invite you to outfit them with even more tools for protecting the Emperor.

Vigilant Protectors
The Imperial Royal Guards give every Galactic Empire commander a new option for the special forces that will play a pivotal role in their armies. Every Star Wars: Legion army can include up to three special forces units and the Imperial Royal Guards will soon join the Scout Troopers in offering their unique skills in service of the Empire. But where the Scout Troopers range far and wide across the battlefield to quickly secure vital objectives and sabotage enemy operations, the Royal Guards serve a different role altogether. These warriors are ideally suited for hanging back and dominating small sections of the battlefield. In other words, The Royal Guards are at their best when they’re protecting key points, whether they be Emperor Palpatine, another Imperial commander, or a mission critical objective.

No matter what enemies they face, the Royal Guard is most effective up close, their deft reflexes and exceptional combat awareness making them exceptionally deadly at close range. Every member of the Royal Guard carries an EC-17 Hold-out Blaster that contributes two black dice to the attack pool per miniature, but is limited by a shorter range than other blasters. However powerful these blasters may be, they’re still no match for the Royal Guards’ skill with a Force Pike.

These melee weapons allow the Imperial Royal guard to quickly cut through opposing forces and ensure they are one of the few units that wants to engage the enemy one-on-one. Adding an Electrostaff Guard only reinforces the Royal Guard’s reputation as fierce melee combatants. Not only does this heavy weapon miniature contribute even more dice to a melee attack pool, it also enhances their defensive capabilities beyond rolling red defense dice.

Their weapons and armor certainly set the Royal Guard apart from other units, but they truly distinguish themselves with their superior poise in battle. The Royal Guard represent the best that the Imperial military has to offer and are singular in their resolve to protect the Emperor at all costs. Their superior training makes the Royal Guard more disciplined than almost every other unit, granting them the ability to shake off up to two suppression tokens when they are issued an order.

Loyal to the Last
The Imperial Royal Guard are prepared to defend the Empire until their last breath. When joined by an powerful Sith lord like Emperor Palpatine, they become a true force to be reckoned with.

Star Wars Legion: Imperial Scout Troopers Unit Expansion
Star Wars Legion: Imperial Scout Troopers Unit Expansion

While Stormtroopers form the bulk of the Galactic Empire’s infantry forces, elite troopers are sometimes needed. These soldiers are capable of both working in large groups and smaller teams, with their specialized training making them particularly dangerous. Soon, these special forces will roam the battlefields of your games of Star Wars: Legion.

Within the Scout Troopers Unit Expansion, you’ll find a squad of seven unpainted, easily assembled Scout Trooper miniatures that can be used to field two different special forces units: a standard squad or a two-miniature strike team. Employing a variety of special-issue weapons, either of these units are ready to locate and secure key points on the battlefield, paving the way for more Imperial troops. Additionally, the five upgrade cards included with this expansion can be added to the Scout Troopers or another unit, giving you more options for outfitting your Star Wars: Legion armies.

Special Operations
Scout Troopers bring a dose of much-needed versatility to Imperial forces. As a standard unit, Scout Troopers can easily be deployed ahead of other infantry, navigating dense terrain to eliminate opposing squads before enemy forces can react. When they operate as independent pairs, however, Scout Trooper strike teams can be deadly at either very close or very long range, depending on the needs of the battle and the conditions of the battlefield itself.

This versatility should be expected from a special forces unit, and the Scout Troopers operate differently than other Imperial infantry units. Rather than the standard-issue E-11 Blaster Rifles carried by Stormtroopers and Snowtroopers, Scout Troopers are equipped with much more accurate EC-17 Hold-out Blaster. These weapons might not have the range of the E-11, but they make up for it in sheer firepower, with each miniature in the unit contributing two black dice to the attack pool.

Where standard Scout Troopers operate best at medium range from enemy units, two heavy weapons miniatures can be added to your squads that greatly vary their operating effectiveness. You could add a Sonic Charge Saboteur who can disrupt enemy movement by seeding the battlefield with deadly charges. Alternatively, a DLT-19x Sniper can launch attacks against practically any enemy it can catch in its sights.

On top of their weapons, Scout Troopers’ training in advanced reconnaissance has made them adept at using difficult terrain to their advantage. These troopers carry the Scout 1 ability, letting them perform a speed-1 move immediately after being deployed. This could give your Scout Troopers a head start toward any objectives that might be on the battlefield, or it could allow them to immediately enter cover and become a much harder target for enemy units.

The Tip of the Spear
Scout Troopers are the first Imperial troops on the ground, gaining a foothold on a planet’s surface long before other troops arrive. When combined with an elite warrior like Boba Fett, no Rebel force will be able to stand against you.

Star Wars Legion: Imperial Shoretroopers Unit Expansion
Star Wars Legion: Imperial Shoretroopers Unit Expansion

The Empire has many secrets to protect. While an assignment to the tropical planet of Scarif may seem pleasant to soldiers stationed in harsher climes, protecting these countless secrets is a task that requires constant vigilance. Now, new Imperial troops are on their way to ensure no Rebel breaches Imperial security.

Specially trained to comb beaches and bunkers for any sign of Rebel infiltration, Shoretroopers are often assigned to important bases where secrecy is of the utmost importance. Within this expansion, you’ll find seven unique, unpainted Imperial Shoretrooper miniatures to add to your Star Wars: Legion collection. Five of these troopers are armed with E-22 blaster rifles, while a Shoretrooper equipped with a T-21B targeting rifle is ready to deal extra damage from long range.

But if you’re truly looking to keep enemy units from escaping with the sensitive information, a DF-90 Mortar Trooper can be added to your army as a detachment from the rest of your Shoretroopers. Rounding out this expansion are two unit cards, five upgrade cards to fully kit out your Shoretroopers, and all the tokens you need to deploy them to any battle. Read on for more information on the Imperial Shoretroopers Unit Expansion!

Coastal Defense
Countless soldiers have enforced the Emperor’s will across the galaxy as Stormtroopers. Only an exceptional few, however, are selected for rotational duty as Imperial Shoretroopers. Trained not only in tropical environment operations, but also in entrenched warfare, these troops are often assigned to important bases such as the Imperial security facility on Scarif. No matter where they’re deployed, their expertise and equipment help them counter any Rebel incursion.

On the battlefields of Star Wars: Legion, Shoretroopers become the most elite option for filling out the corps units that make up the rank-and-file of your Imperial armies. In addition to their advanced training, Shoretroopers are the first Imperial unit to carry the upgraded E-22 blaster rifle, making them more dangerous than Stormtroopers or Snowtroopers based on their armament alone.

Beyond this, you’ll find Shoretroopers eager to carry out your orders, and they give you plenty of reasons to make them a major part of your strategy. Issuing orders to your Shoretroopers immediately puts them on the offensive and—once they’ve identified a new target—helps them fire with deadly accuracy. Spotting new targets is easier if you have a weapon with a bit more range, of course, which is exactly why select Shoretroopers choose to carry the T-21B targeting rifle. Not only does this powerful blaster rifle make the Shoretroopers a threat from long distance, it also allows you to hit the enemy where it hurts the most.

Whether they’re firing from a distance or have their blasters trained on close range targets, Shoretroopers are prepared to counter sudden Rebel ambushes. While the fire from their E-22 blaster rifles alone is sufficient to keep opposing forces hunkered down, Shoretroopers are also trained to work closely with emplacement troops to make sure no stray Rebels escape. The heavy fire from an E-Web Heavy Blaster Team can help the Shoretroopers cut down fleeing enemies, but that isn’t their only option.

In fact, small detachments of Shoretroopers often take it on themselves to man DF-90 mortar launchers that can provide even more suppressive fire. While these mortar troopers operate as independent units and are free to lend fire support to any unit, they can only be deployed if a corresponding Imperial Shoretroopers unit is included in your army.

Secure Your Secrets
The Rebel Alliance will stop at nothing to uncover as many Imperial secrets as they can. With units of Imperial Shoretroopers at your command, however, you can be sure no Rebels escape your clutches.

Safeguard Imperial secrets with the seven unique unpainted miniatures you'll find in this expansion! Five Shoretroopers carrying the powerful E-22 blaster rifle are ready to comb the beaches of Imperial occupied worlds in search of any intrusion. Meanwhile, a Shoretrooper with a T-21B targeting rifle can bring down enemies from a distance.

Ensure nothing escapes your grasp by adding a DF-90 Mortar Trooper to your army as a detachment from your Shoretroopers!

Star Wars Legion: LAAT/le Patrol Transport Unit Expansion
Star Wars Legion: LAAT/le Patrol Transport Unit Expansion

Searchlights patrol the night sky, seeking signs of the enemy amongst the shifting landscape of war. For such a task, the LAAT/le Patrol Transport is the oft-utilized asset of the Galactic Republic, and later the forces of the Empire, when tracking down and apprehending priority targets. On the battlefield, these nimble transports are used to rapidly deploy troops where they are needed the most, regardless of impeding terrain or hostile environments. Able to soar over obstacles, the LAAT/le can quickly get your troops where they are needed most, and once there, protect their position with aerial support.

Armored transports offer new options for Republic and Imperial strategies and soon you can increase the mobility of your forces by adding the LAAT/le Patrol Transport Unit Expansion to your tactical repertoire! This dual-faction expansion features a vehicle miniature with a fully-detailed interior and two different sets of pilot options, one in Phase II Clone armor and the other set in the uniforms of Imperial TIE pilots. The rear doors of the LAAT/le can be assembled closed or open to reveal the detail inside and a clear cockpit panel shows the interior of the craft and two pilots inside. This expansion opens up new tactical options never before available to these factions, and is sure to find a place among many player's favorite strategies. Read on to learn more about how the LAAT/le Patrol Transport Unit Expansion might fit into your plans for an aerial assault!

An Eye In The Sky
The elevated vantage point of an aerial vehicle provides greater visibility of the battlefield to a commander. With new Field Commander options, the LAAT/le can serve as a highly mobile command center, enabling orders to be issued safely from above the conflict. This can free up valuable points when building your force as your LAAT/le can now serve as your required commander, offering a durable leadership option that can readily stay in range of your troops to issue orders. For the Galactic Republic, this option manifests in the form of Clone Commander Fox , the efficient and disciplined leader of the elite Clone Shock Troopers stationed on Coruscant. Commander Fox can help support his forces with a surge token and suppression control, a useful benefit for the Republic, who want their troopers staying in the fight with a full complement of actions every turn.

For the Galactic Empire, Governor Pryce is the new Field Commander option. A merciless Governor of the Lothal sector, Pryce is known for her uncompromising and relentless pursuit of the crew of the Ghost as seen in Star Wars: Rebels. Her ruthless leadership can inspire her troops’ accuracy at the cost of a suppression token. Though the added suppression may seem like a drawback, and it often is, it can prove useful by providing increased cover to exposed units and is obviously less of an issue for units with a higher Courage value – which the Empire has a good selection of.

If you are looking for greater control of your transported units, the LAAT/le can further coordinate your forces by use of an Onboard Comms Channel . This handy upgrade can ensure that the transport and the unit inside can work in unison, guaranteeing the disembarkation of your troops goes as planned.

Equipped for Combat
The LAAT/le utilizes its primary weaponry of twin laser cannons to attack both airborne and ground targets as it soars across the battlefield. Should you want to pivot the LAAT/le into a more active combat role, the offensive capabilities of the craft can be further bolstered by ordnance upgrades that can be combined with the main weaponry via the Arsenal 2 keyword. Previously made available to the Republic and Separatists, these ordnance options are custom-tailored to help with specific situations. For example, “Bunker Buster” Shells are great for getting enemies out of cover, High-Energy Shells are ideal for long range fire that the enemy cannot dodge, and Armor-Piercing Shells are as you would expect, great against armored targets. When combined with the twin laser cannons, these upgrades can create sizeable and specialized dice pools that are able to address any threat.

In addition to these upgrade options, the LAAT/le comes with four additional pilot options that further help define its battlefield role. There are two additional pilots for the Galactic Republic and two for the Galactic Empire we will cover in the future. We will be sharing these via our social media channels as we get closer to release, so stay tuned for additional information!

Secure the Skies
The LAAT/le Patrol Transport introduces new strategies for the Galactic Republic and Galactic Empire. The flexibility of the upgrade cards, the inclusion of a Field Commander option, and the Transport: Closed keyword on this unit can present bold new tactics that offer up a number of synergistic interactions previously unavailable to the factions.

Star Wars Legion: Lando Calrissian Commander Expansion
Star Wars Legion: Lando Calrissian Commander Expansion

Sometimes bravado is better than bravery.

Always sure of himself and possessing a desire to impress, Lando Calrissian leads Rebel missions with a self-confidence rarely seen in a battlefield commander. Fortunately for him, he has the skills–and luck–to back up the bravado and soon you’ll be able to use Calrissian’s abilities to shape your strategies with the Lando Calrissian Commander Expansion for Star Wars: Legion!

Although he may be known as quite the sharpshooter, Lando Calrissian brings more to a mission than just his skill with a blaster. His three signature command cards give him the chance to influence your entire army’s strategy at key points of a battle and playing the right card at the right time could shift the momentum in your favor. What’s more, as a commander, you can equip Calrissian with an array of upgrades that further enhance his ability to help friendly units.

In our announcement, we told you about Lando Calrissian’s knack for making contingency plans that give you the freedom to use even more command cards. Join us today as we reveal the rest of his command cards, his flawed card and explore new ways he can be customized for battle!

Lucky and Good
Effective commanders make the most of the units under their command, deftly maneuvering them across the battlefield and using their individual strengths to gain the upper hand. When this isn’t enough, the best commanders take it upon themselves to singlehandedly save their armies from certain doom.

Lando Calrissian thrives on bending the odds of desperate situations into his favor and his command card Idiot’s Array gives him the chance seize victory when everything seems to be stacked against him. Already a great shot with his X-8 night sniper pistol, this card adds the Gunslinger and Marksman keywords to his repertoire for the round, giving him the opportunity to make two ranged attacks and to spend aim tokens to manipulate the results of those attacks.

Even the most legendary characters would be lucky to generate enough aim tokens to take full advantage of this opportunity on both attacks, but Lando Calrissian makes his own luck. Waiting to play Idiot's Array later in a battle only increases his chances of playing a winning hand. Depending on which command cards are in your discard pile, Calrissian can gain up to three aim and three dodge tokens when he plays this card, giving him everything he needs to launch two powerful attacks while remaining relatively safe. In fact, with three aim tokens and the Marksman keyword, Calrissian is all but guaranteed to do the maximum damage with both his Gunslinger attacks combined with his Sharpshooter 2 keyword and the Pierce 1 of his pistol.

Even though Calrissian’s shots are sure to count, facing down two enemy units is still a risky proposition. Unless he brings them all down, Lando can expect return fire and these shots could pile on the damage. Fortunately, his innate Uncanny Luck combined with the three dodge tokens from Idiot’s Array should help him weather this blistering fire, especially if he’s heightened his Situational Awareness and can spend his dodge tokens to cancel critical results.

The Rebel troops he fights alongside won't be able to benefit from Calrissian's personal dodge tokens, of course, but he still has ways of helping them out. In these situations, a Portable Scanner is a particularly useful tool that Calrissian can use to keep his troops safe. The benefits get even better when pairing this key piece of equipment with some extra Vigilance that allows a friendly trooper unit at range 1–2 or two corps trooper units at range 1–2 to retain a dodge token for the next round, especially if they're Nimble Rebels who can continually avoid damage after spending a dodge token.

High Stakes
When your back is up against the wall, sometimes all you can do is go All In . This command card can set up a devastating offensive turn if all your units are in place. Lando can potentially affect a large number of enemy units the turn he plays this card, adding two observation tokens to each enemy unit within range 1-3 and in line of sight. These useful tokens can be spent by friendly units to reroll an attack dice targeting the affected unit, increasing the odds of getting in effective attacks. Unfortunately, Lando will have to put himself in danger to get the most out of this card but can increase his odds of survival and a more effective attack during his activation by gambling on the dice results. Adding or removing dice as a result of this effect happens after rerolls, so Lando can put the odds in his favor with reroll effects like his own Uncanny Luck, aim tokens. and the observation tokens granted by this card. Bear in mind that the results are checked for adding or removing dice before you modify dice results for things like surges, so you will have to actually roll the crit or block results as opposed to converting a surge result to either.

Pressing Your Luck
Some say if you play the game long enough you are bound to lose, and every gamble has consequences as well as rewards. Sometimes external factors alter the deal , and your fallback plans are no longer an option. Lando’s flawed card can create some narrow choices the round it is played against him but the effects can be properly planned for. As the opponent likely cannot play this card until the 4th battle round, you can play all three of Lando’s cards in the first three rounds should you need to and then plan on using another command card from your command hand the turn your opponent wants to trip Lando up. Readying upgrades like on your other units, prior to round 4 or having Lando seize the initiative will also help keep options open when the chips are down.

Senior Scoundrel
Lando Calrissian can talk himself out of almost any situation. But when he can't, he relies on more than just luck to get him through tricky situations.
